Common Unity Project Aotearoa: Website Design and Development

Common Unity Project Aotearoa (CUPA), a New Zealand nonprofit focused on community development and sustainability, partnered with Tech Dimensions to design and develop its website from the ground up.

The Challenge

CUPA’s community projects, from urban farming and sewing collectives to bee cooperatives and community kitchens, operated largely offline.

  • No single platform for its many initiatives.
  • No online donations or volunteer sign up.
  • Little visibility for its social enterprises.

Design and Development

After discovery sessions with the CUPA team, we built a warm, natural website that brings all of its work together.

  • One home for six initiatives, each with its own space.
  • The Common Unity Shop for handmade, local products.
  • A secure donation flow for one-time and recurring giving.

Engagement Setup

To support long-term growth and visibility, the project also included:

  • SEO to improve search discoverability.
  • Email automation and social media integration.
  • Space for videos and stories about CUPA’s work.
